What is Leftism?

In our view, leftism is the application of objectivity (and thus democracy) to politics and economics. That's why it aligns with science, education, literacy, and the rest of the free and democratic world, in an open, vetted, competing universe of ideas, traceable to original sources. Reality and being honest are obvious threats to right wing authoritarian ideology; same reason slaves weren't allowed to read or write.

You also may have noticed Democrats in the U.S. tend to defer to and rely on experts-in-fields, while Republicans seem to feel they already know what's needed for decisions, and only employ loyalists or other political personalities.

The right's talking points generally originate from an isolated "echo-chamber," with ideas only traceable to the wealthy's think tanks, amplified by social media, rather than from original, organic or universal sources.
